Statistics Finland celebrated its impressive 160th anniversary in November. The entire staff of 700 was invited to celebrate the anniversary, but the auditorium could only accommodate a fraction of them. The challenge was how to get everyone in the mood - and how to ensure that the programme flowed seamlessly between the different spaces.

Solid Stream planned and executed the event as a hybrid celebration. The seminar was streamed from the auditorium stage to two “Oases” converted into in-house meeting rooms with four large screens, powerful sound systems and cameras. Camera images from the oases were in turn relayed to the auditorium and shown on side screens to keep the audience in one piece. The courtyard of the building was transformed into a festive arena as the wall was painted blue and a huge 160 projection was projected onto the wall of the building - so all staff could see that a long history was being celebrated.

How we at Solid Stream made a hybrid party worthy of a 10+ rating:

Simultaneous participation of several farms: Live-connected oases allowed all employees to watch the speeches and presentations in real time.
A seamless whole of the background team: The control room took care of the multi-camera transmission, sound and graphics. The audience only saw a flawless programme - a line-up of monitors in the backstage area ensured that everything ran smoothly.
Continuing in the spirit of celebration: The meeting room on the first floor was converted into a disco - DJ, colour lights and sound system brought a relaxed club atmosphere to the end of the evening.

It is important to us that every event feels intimate, even if the audience is not in the same place. At this Statistics Finland party, all the spaces were united by the same visual look: blue tones, floral decorations and the 160 logo brought the party together.
