A hybrid event is effectively two events at the same time.
One event will take place on-site and the other online. Both need to work equally well.
The Finland-Hong Kong Trade Association organises an annual expert event that brings together Finnish and international players to discuss the Hong Kong and Asian markets. The event is organised in a hybrid format, allowing participants to follow the programme both on-site and online.
Solid Stream has acted as the event's live production partner for several years, responsible for the technical implementation of the hybrid event, live broadcasting and event videos.
Event
The 2026 event took place in
NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa
-at In the centre of Helsinki.
On the spot, the event was attended by around 150-200 guests, and the content was also broadcast live online.

The hybrid event allowed the content to reach audiences both on-site and online.
Implementation of hybrid production
The hybrid event was implemented as a two-space solution.
The programme in the main hall was filmed and broadcast live online and to another room in the hotel, where some participants were able to follow the event live.
This allowed the event to be extended to more venues without compromising the participant experience.
When planned correctly, hybrid production makes an event work seamlessly both on-site and online.
Production by Solid Stream
Solid Stream responded to the event live production, AV production and video production.
The production included, among other things:

- The implementation of the viewing page and the streaming platform

Aftermovie as part of event marketing
The aftermovie was filmed during the event by a separate photographer to capture the atmosphere of the event for marketing purposes.
The aftermovie produced after the event will be an important part of the marketing of next year's event.
A short video brings together the atmosphere of the event, the speakers and the audience, and is used for example in social media and event communication.
A well-executed event video helps build continuity from one event to the next.

The live production of the hybrid event allowed the event to reach audiences both on-site and online without technical disruption.
