160th anniversary - big production, big moment
Statistics Finland's 160th anniversary celebrations were of a different scale and nature from the usual information broadcasts.
About 700 Statistics Finland employees participated in the celebration. Not everyone could fit into the auditorium, so the event was held in two large rooms at the same time: the live broadcast was also transmitted in real time to the second room.
Production included:
- Live broadcast from two sites simultaneously.
- Light installations for the event.
- DJ services.
- Sound systems in several rooms.
This type of production requires careful coordination before the day of the event. When the hall is filled with hundreds of people and the programme is going according to plan, the technology has to work without interruption.
In a big party, the technique is successful when no one pays attention to it.
